The West Elgin Dramatics Society (WEDS) has been staging live theatre performances at the Dutton Town Hall since 1971. Our productions have always been organized and presented by volunteers, primarily from Elgin County.

Due to the major renovation project undertaken in 1998, we now have a modern performing arts center which has hosted a variety of events since reopening in November of 2000. Renamed the WEDS Performing Arts Centre to reflect our new identity, WEDS volunteers continue to work industriously with other community- minded groups and agencies to promote arts events and increase accessibility and involvement.

One of our latest endeavors, funded in part by the Ontario Trillium Foundation and Human Resources Development Canada, is the new WEDS KIDS performing arts summer program for youth. Please click on the menu link to find out more about WEDS KIDS.
